U-Create Music television commercial
I've seen this commercial a lot recently during children's television shows on cable that my kids are watching. It's a device from Mattel's Radica Games unit called U-Create Music, aimed at 8 to 14 year olds. It might be a cool gadget, but the ads are super dorky.
The kid in the commercial uses the device to entertain a house party with all of his friends. The game is like "DJ Hero" for the middle school crowd.

Pac Man
One interesting trend in Internet videos involves people performing wacky stunts in public places and filming the reactions of befuddled onlookers as the action unfolds.
Improv Everywhere is one such group that posts YouTube videos of its stunts. A good example is when the Improv Everywhere crew showed up at a Best Buy electronics store wearing blue polo shirts and khakis like the store staff. They walked around the store, confusing shoppers and store employees alike. I personally didn’t find that video all that entertaining.
But here’s a video I did enjoy. It features people dressed as Pac-Man characters chasing each other around a grocery store, a golf course, a pool hall and elsewhere causing mayhem. It’s pretty funny.
It was created by French comedian and prankster Remi Gaillard.

Saturday Night Live: Wii Guys
Nintendo's Wii video game console has been a phenomenal success. And it's become part of our pop culture as well. The game device, with its motion-sensing controllers, was mocked in this "Saturday Night Live" sketch with host Alec Baldwin. Warning: the humor is pretty adolescent.
I thought Baldwin's sketch for "First Coughs" was funnier, but Hulu didn't post that one. (In that sketch, Baldwin was selling a series of acting lessons on video. They included one on "first coughs," the movie cliche where a character's first cough signals their coming death.)
