Typical interaction between PR firm for tech company and a reporter

This video captures an all-too-common occurrence with PR firms pitching stories to technology reporters.
I don't have a problem with PR firms in general, just those that blindly pitch stories to writers. The good PR professionals understand a reporter's needs, what they cover and what their publication's focus is. The bad ones don't bother to learn those things. And they'll pester reporters who would never cover what they're pitching.
