2010 Toyota Prius "MPG" TV commercial
I love the new commercials for the 2010 Toyota Prius. The 3rd generation Prius hybrid vehicle drives through a landscape made of people pretending to be grass, flowers, trees, clouds, a waterfall and river, even the sun. It's clever and visually stunning. Over 1 million people were created from 200 extras.
I've embedded two commercials and a making-of video from Toyota's YouTube channel.

PG Porn: Roadside Ass-sistance
Porn star Sasha Grey's mainstream film debut in Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience" is getting great reviews.
So, in honor of that, here's another in James Gunn's PG Porn series for Spike.com. The comedy series makes fun of lousy porn acting and writing, but contains no nudity or sex. However, this video, starring Grey, contains explicit language so viewer discretion is advised.

Make the Girl Dance - Baby Baby Baby
Make The Girl Dance "Baby Baby Baby" ( official video )
by placeblancherec
A racy music video from French electronica group Make the Girl Dance. Well, it's racy in the U.S., but I can only assume that in France beautiful women walk naked down the street all the time. Note to self: visit Paris soon.
This is the high-definition version, so you might want to pause the video to let it buffer first. (A lower-resolution version is available on YouTube.) Be sure to watch in full-screen mode. Also check out the group's MySpace page.

Qwest - Every movie ever made
This TV commercial for Qwest Communications in 1999 promised that someday "every movie ever made" would be available "in any languange, any time, day or night." Well, 10 years later, we're still a long way from that happening.
The commercial was filmed at Roy's Motel and Cafe, a major U.S. 66 landmark, in Amboy, Calif. (See Wikipedia entry on Roy's Motel and Cafe.)
Originally aired 1999.

Pac Man
One interesting trend in Internet videos involves people performing wacky stunts in public places and filming the reactions of befuddled onlookers as the action unfolds.
Improv Everywhere is one such group that posts YouTube videos of its stunts. A good example is when the Improv Everywhere crew showed up at a Best Buy electronics store wearing blue polo shirts and khakis like the store staff. They walked around the store, confusing shoppers and store employees alike. I personally didn’t find that video all that entertaining.
But here’s a video I did enjoy. It features people dressed as Pac-Man characters chasing each other around a grocery store, a golf course, a pool hall and elsewhere causing mayhem. It’s pretty funny.
It was created by French comedian and prankster Remi Gaillard.

White House reporters stand for Obama but not for Bush?
Politico writer Patrick Gavin has gotten a lot of mileage from his YouTube video showing how the White House press corps reacts to presidential drop-ins at the White House's James S. Brady Briefing Room. I find it humorous that reporters with mainstream media outlets feign objectivity when they clearly love Barack Obama and hated George W. Bush.
Here's Gavin's original post.
And here's a rebuttal by John Dickerson, Slate's chief political correspondent.
