The Griswolds return in 'Hotel Hell Vacation'
As a fan of “National Lampoon’s Vacation” (1983) and “Christmas Vacation” (1989), it was nice to see Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reunited as the Griswolds, even if it was just a 15-minute video promoting HomeAway.
The short movie “Hotel Hell Vacation” has some pretty funny bits. It’s definitely worth viewing for fans of the movie series.

'Saturday Night Live' - 'What's Up With That?'
"Saturday Night Live" has been pretty terrible of late. But this sketch of a BET musical talk show cracks me up.
It originally aired on NBC on Nov. 21, 2009.
Suggested rating: PG.
SNL aired a sequel to the sketch on Dec. 19, 2009.

'Firelight' - 'Twilight' parody with Frankenstein twist
"Saturday Night Live" was late to the game with a "Twilight" parody, but last weekend's digital short was pretty funny. It replaces the vampires in "Twilight" with Frankenstein's monsters.
Originally aired on Nov. 7, 2009.
Suggested rating: PG.

MacGruber the movie coming soon
The big news out of Hollywood this week was the announcement of a movie based on the recurring MacGruber sketches on "Saturday Night Live," which are a parody of the 1985-92 action-adventure show "MacGyver." (OK, maybe "big news" is a stretch.) The MacGruber skits, starring Will Forte as MacGruber, have been running on SNL since 2006.
The Hollywood Reporter wrote about possible casting news today.
Here are some MacGruber sketches from SNL.
Find more MacGruber skits at Hulu.com.

Saturday Night Live: Surprise Party
SNL cast member Kristin Wiig can be either really annoying or freaking hilarious depending on the sketch she's in. Here is one of her best characters, Sue, a woman who gets overly excited about surprises.

And here's a follow-up sketch featuring the same character.

Saturday Night Live: Wii Guys
Nintendo's Wii video game console has been a phenomenal success. And it's become part of our pop culture as well. The game device, with its motion-sensing controllers, was mocked in this "Saturday Night Live" sketch with host Alec Baldwin. Warning: the humor is pretty adolescent.
I thought Baldwin's sketch for "First Coughs" was funnier, but Hulu didn't post that one. (In that sketch, Baldwin was selling a series of acting lessons on video. They included one on "first coughs," the movie cliche where a character's first cough signals their coming death.)
Originally aired Feb. 14, 2009.
Suggested rating: PG-13
