What Jack Bauer eats when he's on the run in '24'
Counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) actually does stop to eat when battling bad guys on the action series "24." According to this set of Japanese TV commercials, he eats CalorieMate energy snacks.

Know Your Meme: Keyboard Cat
I enjoy the Rocketboom feature "Know Your Meme." These videos explore - in comic fashion - the backstory behind some of the most popular Internet viral videos.
Here's a good example looking at "Keyboard Cat."

Skynet Symphonic
I'm a fan of Australian DJ and remix artist Pogo. I previously featured his techno remix of "Mary Poppins" called "Expialidocious" on One Stop Video.
His latest is a remix of "Terminator 2" called "Skynet Symphonic." It was composed entirely from small sounds in the movie.
"Each section is composed entirely of sounds from a major scene in the film. For example, the Terminator pounding on the fire escape door is used as a kick drum. Bones breaking play the role of a snare. Electrical disturbance acts as a crash cymbal," he writes.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer asked to sign an Apple notebook
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was a good sport recently when he agreed to sign a student's Apple notebook computer at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. Lots of tech websites got a chuckle out of the video. (See TechFlash report.) But the truth is, the relationship between Microsoft and Apple is much more complicated than it was in the early days of the PC. Microsoft does a good business selling Office productivity software for Macs. Microsoft also is reportedly in talks to get its Bing search engine installed as the default on Apple iPhones and Macs.
So while Microsoft and Apple may compete, they also are partners.

Coca-Cola Happiness Machine
I enjoyed this stunt by Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola hired interactive marketing agency Definition 6 to create a viral video as part of its global "Open Happiness" advertising campaign. Definition 6's production crew secretly installed a modified Coca-Cola vending machine overnight - along with five hidden cameras - on a college campus. The results were entertaining.

10 funny beer commercials
Here's a collection of 10 funny beer commercials. (Funny mostly to men, because that's who beer companies target.)
Quite a few beer commercials use the "beer goggles" theme. U.S. TV advertisements aren't allowed to show the intoxicating effects of alcohol. Web ads are apparently a different story.
Up top is an ad for Troegs beer from the Troegs Brewing Company of Harrisburg, Pa.

The Hotel - Bathroom
I've enjoyed the Atom.com series of comedy shorts called "The Hotel."

The "invisible rope" prank
The “invisible rope” prank never gets old.
The premise is simple. Two pranksters pretend to stretch a rope across a road or walkway and videotape how people respond.
The masters of this prank are Dan Podosek and Yuki Palermo of TheInvisibleRope.com. The suburban Chicago guys have stopped cars, bikes and pedestrians with their antics.
Up top is their holiday video, recorded in part at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill. It was posted to YouTube on Dec. 22, 2008.
